NAC Client Recognized for Using Tax Credits to Create Jobs
The Tribal Chief of the Mississippi Choctaw Indians formally recognized NAC’s client, the Lower Brule Community Development Enterprise, for its successful use of New Market Tax Credits (NMTC) to bring a successful manufacturing company to the Choctaw TechParc. Through its work with the LBCDE, NAC facilitated using a $9 million NMTC allocation to bring KemPosits manufacturing company to the tribe.
KemPosits is already in the process of creating over 150 new jobs for the tribal members, as well as other community members. The success has been lauded as “an excellent example of how tribes can work together to further our common goal of building strong tribal economies.”
Additionally, this achievement has had a transformative impact on the Lower Brule community, opening up opportunities for economic growth, skill development, and sustainable progress. The collaboration between NAC, the LBCDE, and KemPosits exemplifies the power of strategic partnerships and innovative approaches to drive positive change in Native American communities.
We are delighted to share the attached letter from Phyliss J. Anderson, Tribal Chief of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, commending the exceptional efforts and outcomes of this groundbreaking initiative. This recognition serves as an inspiration to continue fostering economic empowerment and prosperity for Native American tribes.
